My writing includes short stories, screenplays, plays, essays, and reviews.
My short stories have been published in journals, anthologies and newspapers, broadcast on national radio, and adapted for the stage.
Seven previously published stories were included in What Came Between (2009), which was written as part of a PhD at the University of Newcastle. Three stories from the collection were published in The Best Australian Stories 2005, and others in The Best Australian Stories 2006 and The Best Australian Stories 2007.

In 2014, I was awarded a New Work grant by the Australia Council for Untold Stories, a collection of experimental stories that combine well-known facts, lesser-known facts, little white lies and outright pork pies. Published stories from the collection feature filmmakers (Krzysztof Kieslowski and the Coen Brothers) and writers (Raymond Carver, Richard Ford and Tobias Wolff; Raymond Carver and Haruki Murakami; John Cheever; and Ernest Hemingway).

A play, adapted from an unpublished short story (which was itself an adaptation of an unproduced short film), was performed at The Playhouse, Civic Theatre, Newcastle as part of the 2011 Short & Sweet Festival.
